Every child in Scotland is entitled to 1140 funded  nursery hours from the Monday following their third birthday. The Scottish Government fund places for children aged 3-5 years through the local authority; Strathaven Community Nursery is in partnership with South Lanarkshire council. If you wish to apply for a funded place for your child to attend Strathaven Community Nursery you are required to complete a funding application form.  Application forms must be completed and submitted to South Lanarkshire Council by the end of Febuary prior to your child’s third birthday.

The staff team realise that the application process can be confusing and are happy to answer any questions you may have if you contact the nursery by telephone or email. Funding forms are available from the Nursery The Nursery will forward your application to the local authority and they contact you with the result of your funding application .
