We provide sessions for eighteen children during term time and have four staff members including a manager/ lead practitioner. Located in bright airy premises within Wester Overton school with a separate entrance into our classroom, cloakroom and outdoor play area, we are fortunate to have a raised bed where the children plant, grow and harvest fruit and vegetables throughout the year.

There is always something interesting happening at Strathaven Community  Nursery . The staff team strive to ensure that the ambitions and expectations of ‘A Curriculum for Excellence’ underpin the life of the nursery on a daily basis. We evolved from the local playgroup so we’ve been operating in the early years sector for over thirty years and have lots of experience of working with children and their families to create positive outcomes for children and their families.

We recognise that each child is an individual to be given every opportunity to experiment and explore within the nursery  and actively seek  to extend these opportunities by exploring our local environment through trips and encouraging visitors to come into the nursery.
